We hopped on a bullet train for an overnight trip to Gyeongju-si, located in southeastern Korea. The town is known as an open-air museum because of how much there is to see and do just by wandering around. It was one of the most memorable days of our entire trip. We walked all over and had an incredible time exploring and eating. As you can see, it’s truly beautiful there. Although it rained off and on throughout the day, that only added to the drama of the whole experience. It’s a fun town to spend time in. I couldn’t believe how well the two boys did—but I think they had gained quite a bit of wisdom and patience from all their experiences leading up to this. They walked over 17 miles that day without even realizing it!
