We were blessed to spend time at my brother-in-law's beautiful family home in Özdere. His parents were the most wonderful hosts, and his mother’s cooking was absolutely delicious! It was so much fun to be there with my sister (they live in San Diego). My kids had the time of their lives playing with their cousin and experiencing this part of his world for the first time. Eating three amazing home-cooked meals a day, walking to the beach to swim in the Aegean Sea at noon and again at sunset, going on little adventures, and living without the internet—it was a relaxing dream.
